I would enjoy fic or art shipping Mei Changsu or Xia Dong with basically anyone from the show (apart from my DNWs), male or female. I'm also fine with shipping either or both of them in a poly relationship.
Some optional thoughts/prompts:
-Any sort of identity porn regarding the Mei Changsu/Su Zhe/Lin Shu tangle is very welcome! Or if you're throwing in a different character with a secret identity (e.g. Xia Dong going undercover, Gong Yu hiding her Hua roots, Wei Zheng pretending to be Someone Else who is Definitely Not From the Chiyan Army), I'd take that too! This is a great fandom for secrets.
-I'd love to see Xia Dong investigating some sort of case in which her love interest is involved (tangentially, as a victim, or possibly as the actual guilty party). Canonically, this could be her investigating the eunuch murders or closing things up in the aftermath of Jingrui's birthday party, but pre-canon or post-canon I'm sure there were lots of other odd cases she had a look at.
-Xia Dong sparring with someone????
-Mei Changsu getting hurt or being sick and making his love interest very worried over him. Alternatively, Mei Changsu hiding that he is hurt or sick with the purpose of NOT making his love interest worry over him--results may vary.
-Art of someone hovering over a sick Mei Changsu would be particularly good.
-Mei Changsu trying Very Hard not to ruin his love interest's birthday party. Again, RESULTS MAY VARY.
-Mei Changsu or Xia Dong doing political maneuvering or manipulations on their love interest's behalf bc they're just supportive that way.
-ARRANGED MARRIAGES. AND MARRIAGES OF CONVENIENCE AND SCHEMING. Canonically there's Lin Shu/Nihuang, and of course there's the theory that if Yujin had been a girl he would have been engaged to Lin Shu (though I know opinions differ here). I like these things! I would also like literally any other marriage scenario (except Xia Dong/Nie Feng, sorry Nie Feng), not limited to m/f couples and historical accuracy! M/m and f/f arranged/political marriages are VERY WELCOME.
-Xia Dong mourning Nie Feng and being comforted by her love interest. Or other Xia Dong-adjacent hurt/comfort--an injury on the job? Xia Dong angsting over Xia Jiang's treachery? Maybe some art of Xia Dong crying on someone's shoulder, idk.
-Alternatively, if Xia Dong's love interest is someone who believes in the Chiyan Army's innocence before she does, this could definitely lead to some interesting conflict!

-I'd also love magic AUs for this fandom, or improbable science/martial arts (a la typical wuxia).
-General art note: I really like Xia Dong's uniform. For Mei Changsu, I like his fur cloak a lot, but I also like his blue robes a lot without it... simple but classy you know.

That said, the ships I mentioned in that letter are not comprehensive, and I would be equally happy to see a different ship as well.
Phantom of the Opera
Requesting: Carlotta Giudicelli. f/f. Fic or art.
I know there aren't all that many female characters in the show but there are at least Christine, Meg, and Madame Giry. I'm also fine with you borrowing characters from the novel (e.g. La Sorelli, Jammes, etc), as long as you keep the Webber Carlotta, who I just find to be the most fun. Or, I'll also opt in to original female characters.
Some optional thoughts/prompts:
-Three words: Angry Sexual Tension.
-Carlotta's a huge diva, so does her partner make her a little more chill or a lot less chill? Or possibly both depending on the situation? (5 times Carlotta's girlfriend got her to not throw a fit in public and one time Carlotta threw a fit about her girlfriend.) Maybe some art of Carlotta's girlfriend trying to hold her back from attacking someone, or calming her down in a private setting.
-If her partner is a ballet or chorus girl, maybe Carlotta's a sort of mentor to her? Does she get respect (she'd probably preen at that) or only sass? Why does Carlotta pay attention to this girl rather than all the others?
-If it's someone her own age or more her equal (e.g. Madame Giry, some original opera patroness), again--is there respect here or mockery? How long have the two known each other?
-I'd love it if you incorporated some weird operatic roleplaying or symbolism. Carlotta and her lover writing each other notes that only contain opera lyrics! Carlotta singing an opera song to her lover but it ain't a love song and now the lover is getting nervous that there's something she missed! Carlotta making out with her lover while in character!
-Definitely up for art of Carlotta and her significant other in costume (perhaps practicing their parts?) but I also love basically all of Carlotta's outfits. The dramatic red dress with the little hat. The spidery masquerade outfit. They're all very nice.
-Carlotta's a picky girl. What kinds of gifts might her lover get her? Or if her lover can't afford anything too fancy, how does she still express her love?

Some general prompts:
-Hurt/comfort. Moo-yul is a future doctor and very into it. Let him do some doctoring! Or make him need someone else to doctor him (and probably be embarrassed or annoyed about it). Alternatively, emotional hurt/comfort with people talking through their Issues, bc someone should really talk to them about their problems who is NOT a serial killer therapist.
-Post-canon, Moo-yul and his significant other recovering from trauma. Possibly dealing with new issues stemming from the traumatic experience? Or just doing more shady stuff, or normal stuff. I have this vision of Moo-yul starting a study group with the rest of the squad bc all their grades are falling post-canon and clearly this cannot be allowed, but I'll admit I'm not sure how you would make that shippy. But you could probably do it!
-Pre-canon you get the impression that Moo-yul didn't know any of the others that well, but what if this were not the case? What if he had a secret boyfriend, or maybe just one secret hook-up? Or even just an awkward sexually charged encounter... I will take these crumbs.
-Moo-yul and his love interest(s) getting into a fight! A physical fight! I don't care if this happens post-canon or during canon or even pre-canon (Moo-yul seems pretty ready to throw down to me, even in early episodes, so I'd believe this is a habit), and I don't care if the fight is justified or just nerves shattering, just, some good fighting that maybe turns into making out!!
I've previously prompted Moo-yul/Ch-ihoon, Moo-yul/Young-jae, Moo-yul/Mi-reu, Moo-yul/Kang-mo/Eun-sung, and Moo-yul/Chi-hoon/Mi-reu with more specific prompts, so if you want more specifics, you can check that out here.
