convenientalias: a painting i did a while back :) (Default)
Dear Yuletide Writer,
I am once again mostly requesting Korean movies and shows, except for one (1) book series to throw a little variety into the mix! These are all immensely tiny fandoms so I am excited to see whatever you have for me <3 :D :D
I am open to receiving treats :)

Identity porn
Kidnapping and captivity
Bondage
Dub-con and non-con
Obsession, possessiveness
Whump
Hurt/comfort
Magic AUs (animal transformations, soulmarks and soulbonds, curses, vampires or werewolves, etc)
Different first meetings
Fix-its
Couples getting together
5+1 fic
Trapped together in an elevator/snowstorm/landslide

DNW:
Non-canon major character death
Graphic description of eye, finger or toe injury
Extreme ageplay
Men raping women
A focus on suicide or suicidal ideation
A focus on alcoholism

Now for some specifics.
Clem & Wist Series - Hiyodori
Requesting Asa Clematis and Wisteria Shien

The Clem and Wist series is a fantasy series with a central f/f couple. It is on Amazon and KU. You can see the main series here (four books). There is also a prequel you can find here.
The premise: In a country where mages hold hierarchical supremacy and healers exist only to serve them, the healer Clem has been in prison for years for revolutionary activities. Then the government calls her in to heal the most powerful mage of the era, who happens to be her old school friend, Wist... who also betrayed her and is the reason she's currently in prison.
That's the first book! Later books go into Clem and Wist's ~magical adventures~ facing off against everything from magical anomalies to the terrible government to straight up monsters to secret societies.
It is a four (or five, if you read the prequel) book series, but if you want to get into it and don't have time to read the whole series, I'm happy to receive a fic based only off book one. Some of my prompts below are based off books 3 and 4, but not most of them.

Some prompts:
-Different first meeting between Clem and Wist, perhaps with Clem already the fearsome magebreaker facing off against a Wist who represents the oppressive system to her (and learning that Wist is different). Maybe they fight! Maybe Clem kidnaps Wist for ransom! Maybe they keep fighting in a superhero/villain manner and it seems likely Wist is letting Clem go on purpose, hmmm...

-Competence porn with Clem or Wist doing something that other healers or mages would find impossible.

-Exploration of what Clem and Wist's first life was like.

-I know time travel has Consequences, but since Clem and Wist like to fuck around with it anyway--Clem time traveling to Wist's childhood and witnessing her trauma (and maybe saving her from it).

-Soulbond stuff. All the canonical soulbond stuff is already so good, with dub-con soulbond formation and soulbonds being made and broken and telepathic communication and so on and so forth, and I just want more of that. Maybe an AU where Clem and Wist form a soulbond in a different way (perhaps still something chaotic or traumatic, perhaps not) or where (angst angst angst) one of them is soulbonded to someone else and they're still pining for each other.

-Wist's feelings on seeing Clem heal other mages; does it fascinate her? Is she sometimes jealous? (I'd especially love to see her getting possessive if other mages want to bond with Clem either before they've bonded or in an AU where they aren't bonded.)

-Book 3 related - More Queen of the Void content! I'd especially love to see more interactions between the Queen of the Void and brainwashed Clem, it was such a different dynamic for those two. But the Queen of the Void and rebellious, scheming Clem is also good.

-Book 4 related - Clem is all like "we can't have sex bc we can't touch each other :(" and I would love to see them working past that. Creative problem solving ;)

The Deal
Requesting Lee Jun-seong and Park Min-woo

The Deal is an 8-episode kdrama. You can watch it on Viki.
The premise: Two friends down on their luck kidnap a rich former classmate for ransom. Of course it ends up going off the rails.

I watched The Deal last year (and rewatched it this year) and completely ate it up. Perfect show full of whump and angst and tension. My fave is Lee Jun-seong, but Park Min-woo follows close behind him. I also do love Song Jae-hyo, though I'll admit it's a love-hate relationship at times! If you kill Song Jae-hyo off in your fic, that is okay, as it is canonical; however, if you want to spare him, I would be happy to see it! For this show I shipped all three main characters in every configuration--Jun-seong/Min-woo was my OTP, but I also shipped Jun-seong/Jae-hyo, Min-woo/Jae-hyo, and Jun-seong/Jae-hyo/Min-woo. So if you're planning on writing a ship fic, any of those ships is good in my book :D :D :D

Some prompts:
-Just in general any kind of whump or hurt/comfort.

-Jae-hyo and Jun-seong successfully leave the country together! Until some time later--maybe even years later--Min-woo tracks them down. I'm not sure whether I want a whole squad of men in black following him here or just him showing up alone for a quiet conversation. Either way, Jae-hyo has spent quite a while thinking Jun-seong's a murderer, so that's one element in play; their Bonnie and Clyde dynamic begins to develop some cracks, and Min-woo is here to break it wide open.

-AU where Min-woo finds out that Jae-hyo betrayed Jun-seong to the debt collectors because I don't think he ever actually learned about this in canon and I feel it would have pissed him off. Bonus points if despite this, Jun-seong somehow convinces him to let Jae-hyo live. (Maybe Min-woo was originally going to kill Jae-hyo super fast as per canon but now was slowly torturing him and was going to let Jun-seong kill him but Jun-seong didn't want to?? Idk.)

-For some reason I keep picturing time travel for this fandom. Like, if Min-woo could Peggy Sue back in time to the night he was kidnapped, what would he do then? Would he just kill Jae-hyo and Jun-seong on the spot? But he does say he can't kill Jun-seong! If he just refuses to meet them, what will happen to Jun-seong and Jae-hyo? Would he be able to stand just never seeing them and not knowing or would he want to find out and spy on them and interfere in their lives/get vengeance for things that never happened? Would he save Jun-seong from the debt collectors or let events take their course? (...what if he time traveled back but it was too late and he was already fuckign kidnapped lol)

-What if Min-woo is some kind of magical creature? On the one hand, this is why he's worth such a high ransom--he's from an old magical family/clan, a rare magical being, etc. On the other hand, it makes him a terrible kidnap victim (if he's a vampire, he keeps asking to be fed blood; if he's a werewolf, now they have to hide a wolf in the closet and he keeps almost biting them; if he's half-dragon, he keeps almost burning the house down, etc etc).

-I'd love any fic with the canonical kidnapping set-up but also I'd love to see Min-woo pull a reverse on Jun-seong and/or Jae-hyo post-canon and kidnap them right back, whether for revenge or out of some kind of obsession. Maybe he wants to prove he's better at kidnapping, even! I just want to see Jun-seong get tied up I think it would be interesting.

-Post-canon, Min-woo seeking Jun-seong out and reuniting with him. I know he said they should never meet again but I kind of got the sense he said that only after he saw how shaken Jun-seong was by everything, and maybe he really did want to become friends afterwards but felt it was something he shouldn't want. Let Min-woo get some closure! (And maybe a now-ex-con boyfriend.)

For the Emperor
Requesting Lee Hwan and Jung Sang-ha

For the Emperor is a 104 minute Korean movie. It's a bit hard to find; I think it's technically on Amazon Prime with subtitles but you have to jump through some hoops. However, it is quite good and worth a watch.
The premise: Former athlete gets involved in a gang. A lot of the movie centers around his relationship with the gang leader, who becomes something of a mentor to him. Lots of knife fights.

What can I even say about Hwan and Sang-ha. What a mess. The knives, literal and metaphorical. The possessiveness and control. The angst. The tragedy. The loyalty and the betrayal. If you haven't guessed it, I do ship them, very much so, but I am also open to gen, and very open to whump or hurt/comfort, as is fitting for a gangster movie. But also fix-it fic, because glld;odfihdsds;idsfodhfdkfj

Some fic ideas:
-Any kind of whump relating to Cutter or any other rival in the loan shark industry attacking Hwan or Sang-ha could be fun! Or internal feuding. Stabbing, people getting kidnapped or tortured... there's lots of fun gangster potential.

-Obsessive possessive behavior from either or both of these characters would be great. Obviously Sang-ha is already going there, what with how he acts about Hwan's girlfriend, but he could always go further ;) and what about Hwan? In terms of possessiveness, how does he act when other people threaten his place in Sang-ha's life? I'd also love to see him stalk and spy on Sang-ha or act in various ways to manipulate him. Dub-con, non-con and power play are also fine for this ship.

-It's never decided whether Hwan killed Sang-ha's subordinate or not. What if Sang-ha decided he did, and punished him for it? (And did Hwan really do it, or not?)

-Fix-it fic: Get that boat safely docked and get those men to a hospital!! Or otherwise just contrive to let them live lol. Any kind of fic where Sang-ha and Hwan both live would be super welcome.

-Sang-ha met Hwan when he was young. What if he kept an eye on him as he was growing up, or even kept in touch and Hwan knew him? (And what if Hwan had a juvenile crush, for that matter, if possibly a resentful one?)

-Sang-ha wanted to give Hwan a car but Hwan refused it :(. What other gifts might Sang-ha try to give Hwan? I want to see Sang-ha's attempted sugar daddy era!

-I feel like every one of Sang-ha's subordinates and also the old man his boss is aware of how he feels about Hwan. I'd like to see a fic of them all trying to interfere in one way or another, positive or negative, with that relationship, and Hwan, who perhaps may not understand Sang-ha's feelings as well, learning some Information by these machinations.

Low Life
Requesting Oh Hee-dong, Oh Gwan-seok, and Yang Jeong-suk

Low Life is an 11-episode kdrama. It can be watched on Hulu or Disney Plus
The premise: A bunch of shady dudes (swindlers, thieves, and the like) set out to retrieve sunken treasure (pottery from the 1300s) from the Yellow Sea. Squabbling, backstabbing, and other disasters cause everyone's plans to quickly go awry.

I'm requesting Oh Gwan-seok, the leader of this shady operation, Oh Hee-dong, his young and relatively innocent nephew, and Yang Jeong-suk, the wife of the man who's financing them (and arguably the brains behind said rich man). You don't have to include all three characters, but please at least include Oh Hee-dong and one of my other requested characters.
Ship-wise, I enjoy Hee-dong and Jeong-suk's dynamic, but I'm not too picky. I'd also be up for shipping Hee-dong with Seon-ja, Jeon-chul, Beol-gu, probably anyone else you can come up with. Or poly combinations thereof. And I'm also interested in gen fic.

Some prompts:
-Oh Gwan-seok seems to care a lot about Hee-dong, but he is also pretty blasé about using him: sending him into dangerous waters, pimping him out to Yang Jeong-suk, getting him into a life of crime in general, and so on and so forth. What other ways would he be willing to use Hee-dong or put him at risk? And in what situation would he actually become protective? I'd love to see someone messing with Hee-dong on the job and whether or not Gwan-seok would do anything about it... just how far does his ruthless side run?

-If you're in a fix-it mood, I'm up for seeing ppl survive who died in canon. Yang Jeong-suk, most obviously, but also, poor Hee-dong keeps watching ppl get murdered. What if he was able to actually save someone? (What would the consequences be, given that the two most obvious candidates here would probably turn against Oh Gwan-seok and the squad afterwards?)

-For some reason I would love to see Hee-dong and Jeong-suk in an OT3 with someone else. They have multiple love triangles going on, after all. Let Jeong-suk become the sugar mama/sponsor for BOTH Hee-dong and Seon-ja! Let Jeong-suk believe that she and Seon-ja are both having Hee-dong's child and get WEIRD about it! Alternatively, Hee-dong/Jeong-suk/Jeon-chul could be interesting; Jeon-chul didn't love hearing about Hee-dong and Jeong-suk sleeping together but he seems to want a connection with Hee-dong sometimes (or at least his protection) and I believe he could be won over. In either situation, btw, very fine with the OT3 being a trashy dysfunctional mess or something more wholesome, whichever you prefer.

-More Yang Jeong-suk/Oh Hee-dong dub-con in general. What if Jeong-suk makes Hee-dong stay with her for the duration of the treasure hunting expedition as a sort of hostage? What if hearing about Hee-dong and Seon-ja's supposed relationship only makes her want Hee-dong more in a maybe spiteful sort of way? What if Hee-dong has to work a little harder to get Jeong-suk to lend him that money? Meanwhile, Hee-dong is not thrilled about the situation or comfortable with Jeong-suk in ANY way but Gwan-seok or his own circumstances keeps pushing him into it...

-What if Yang Jeong-suk cared a little more about Jeon-chul's murder? I'd love to see her trying to get the truth out of Hee-dong (and possibly Gwan-seok), or seeking revenge on them. Although he did cheat on her, so it would also be interesting seeing her seeking out the truth without any intention of vengeance, just wanting to at least understand what happened.

-Let a girl commit a successful murder! What would happen if Yang Jeong-suk did manage to kill her husband? How would that impact the treasure hunting squad? How would it impact a Jeong-suk/Hee-dong relationship?

-Any kind of fic delving into the antiquing/pottery/deep sea diving aspects of this show are also very welcome. I don't know much about any of these things but I enjoy some technical detail sometimes.

Now on to the fandoms!!!!!

For the Emperor (2014) - Jung Sang-ha/Lee Hwan
I'm actually shocked someone nominated this, but so excited to see someone else in the fandom :D  Yes, my terrible stabby knifey boys!!!!

What can I even say about these two. What a mess. The knives, literal and metaphorical. The possessiveness and control. The angst. The tragedy. The loyalty and the betrayal. I am very open to whump or hurt/comfort for these two, as is fitting for a gangster movie. But also fix-it fic, because glld;odfihdsds;idsfodhfdkfj

Art Ideas:
-Kniiiiiives. Knives and blood. That's what I mostly associate with this fandom.
-Noir vibes.
-People in suits and leather jackets and such.
-Hwan visiting Sang-ha in prison with the glass and/or bars between them for angst.
-...tragic death scene art.

Method (2017) - Jae Ha/Young Woo
Another Park Sung-woong movie I adore <3 This messy disaster ship.

Young Woo deserves the world but most of all he deserves to wreak havoc and terrorize that old man. I especially love somewhat darker or more dysfunctional fanfic for this ship, bc the thrillery side of the movie is soooo fun and also wtf is Jae Ha's deal. But if you think the two of them could work it out and be somewhat functional, go for it, I'd be curious to see what you'd come up with.

Some prompts:
-Give me! That! Obsessive behavior! I want Jae Ha reading every article every published about Young Woo online (or offline, for that matter) and offering verbose and critical thoughts on the opinions of forum commenters. I want Young Woo actively stalking Jae Ha (probably wearing a face mask to go incognito if in public) and breaking into his house. During the time frame of the movie but also after the time frame of the movie, maybe even waaaay after the time frame of the movie, after they've long lost contact and they shouldn't even be thinking about each other anymore and they mutually assume "oh, he's forgotten all about me (which means I am safe to stalk as I please)". And of course Young Woo's resentful of Hee Won and of course Jae Ha's resentful if there's the slightest rumor that Young Woo's been dating anyone else. They are never getting over this and they are not going to be normal about it.
-After the beach date disaster, Young Woo goes mysteriously missing and everyone thinks Jae Ha knows something about it (possibly killed him?). Jae Ha has maybe been seeing Young Woo but he also may be hallucinating him and is beginning to doubt his own sanity. (...Young Woo may perhaps be pulling a slow gaslighting scheme here.)
-What if Young Woo kidnapped Jae Ha?????? No further thoughts here just. What if.
-You  need to consider the fact that the end of the movie is only the OPENING NIGHT of Unchained. That's right, they still have to do this whole show about a million more times before it's over. How on earth are they going to cope???
-Some nice chain kink, with Young Woo or Jae Ha tied up and both of them being very into it. The chaining up may or may not be consensual (see above: what if Young Woo just kidnapped Jae Ha, and honestly vice versa). They may or may not make out; I'm also here for bondage UST where they're just practicing bondage for play purposes and staring deeply into each other's eyes or what have you.
-Young Woo and Jae Ha meet up post-canon. Young Woo is dating someone else now, but they still end up making out/hooking up. Give my boy a chance to be the one cheating in this relationship >:D
-Young Woo post-canon constantly talking about Jae Ha in interviews and Jae Ha having to deal with it. Always in a rather ambiguous way that gives ~just enough hints~ to keep the paparazzi and all Young Woo's fans wondering. Where does this end? Does Young Woo finally make a public declaration of love that brings Jae Ha's life crashing down on him even more than it already is? Does Jae Ha finally confront Young Woo and try to shake some sense into him only for it to backfire? Who knows.

Art ideas:
-There are so many cool aesthetic scenes in this movie. Lying on the roof together. The photo shoot. Laughing on the beach. Feel free to play off any one of them.
-Chain bondage ;)
-Jae Ha grabbing Young Woo or towering over him, as he sometimes does during practices.
-Young Woo being perhaps a little creepy... a little spooky... while Jae Ha looks freaked out. (It's Halloween month!)

The King Eternal Monarch (2020) - Jo Yeong/Jo Eun-sup

I'm just a big fan of Woo Do-hwan, okay? Two Woo Do-hwans at the same time: What could be better? Also, they should make out.
More seriously, I think the contrast between the two Jos is interesting and makes you think a little about what is essential to them at heart versus what might be more nurture than nature. I also think Jo Yeong has a bit of a vain streak, while Jo Eun-sup can be a little cocky but also a bit insecure and could use some self-cest to bolster him. Also. They're just so cute omg. I cannot stand the fact that they are separated by entire worlds. Bring the boys back together, I say!

Some prompts:
-Jo Eun-sup remembering Jo Yeong. This could be because he never forgot for some reason, or because of magical flute shenanigans, or because Jo Yeong finds some way to remind him... doesn't matter much to me, but give me some post-canon with Jo Eun-sup who remembers his hyung.
-AU where, when the worlds are separated again, either Jo Yeong is stranded in the Republic of Korea or Jo Eun-sup is stranded in the Kingdom of Corea. What does this mean for the future of the stranded individual, and for the two as a couple?
-Lee Lim captures either Yeong or Eun-sup and the other Jo has to come rescue them (perhaps with some backup from Gon or Tae-eul). Whump and hurt/comfort very welcome!
-Jo Yeong tries to teach Eun-sup to be more like himself, perhaps for espionage purposes or perhaps just for his own vanity's sake. He doesn't expect Eun-sup has some things to teach him too.
-Eun-sup trying to explain to friends and family not in the know why his boyfriend looks exactly like him.
-AU where Yeong and/or Eun-sup encounter evil!Jo version from another universe. Maybe someone gets captured or nearly killed. Maybe they redeem him with the power of love (and have a threesome?). Idk I'd just love to see more Jos. All the Jos of the multiverse.
-Building off that, if you want to add in additional Woo Do-hwan characters to the mix, I'm familiar with Save Me, Bloodhounds, My Country the New Age, and Mad Dog, so feel free to crossover if you so wish.

Art ideas:
-Doppelganger art. I mean, it's obvious, but just... ppl looking in the mirror or mirroring each other's posture. But with enough differences to tell which is Yeong and which is Eun-sup.
-Guns and swords and horses!
-Cradling each other angstily while the other appears to be on the verge of death.
-I like Eun-sup's fluffy hair a lot, so feel free to keep it even if you're drawing some part of the show where he really should have cut or styled it.

White Christmas (2011) - Choi Chihoon/Park Mooyul, Jo Youngjae/Park Mooyul

This is an all time favorite fandom for me. Park Mooyul, disaster "good boy" that he is, is a bit of a little black dress for me here - I could probably ship him with anyone. Today, however, I'm requesting him with Choi Chihoon or Jo Youngjae, two rather different ships.

Choi Chihoon/Park Mooyul:
This ship is probably the most obvious. I love the one-sided rivalry going on here, and the fact that despite this the two basically seem to respect each other from the beginning. Then Park Mooyul pushed Chihoon off a cliff, omg! Then he saved Chihoon's life! I really loved Chihoon and Mooyul's brief attempt to take down Oh Junghye and Kim Yohan before they were recaptured, too, especially the standoff with Chihoon and the empty gun. ("Does an empty gun make you feel safe?" Chihoon asked. Little did he know he would soon find out the answer to this question.) In general when they're scheming together, things are very fun. I also loved the scene when Chihoon thought everyone should run away during the search for Yoonsu and tried to communicate this solely by looking at Mooyul intensely. Poor Mooyul's not telepathic, Chihoon! (Also, the fact that Chihoon was staring at Mooyul specifically in his telepathy attempt, even though he was partnered with Jaekyu because he trusted Mooyul to get it... which did not work out lols.) Also, Mooyul doing his doctor thing with Chihoon's broken leg! Just, there's a lot of good content.
Chihoon in general is an interesting character to me bc despite the fact that he has low empathy (and little emotion in general, though not quite none), he still has a strong grasp of morality and does his best to help the team. Being logical doesn't make him selfish or a jerk, though it does occasionally make him insensitive. Also, his great plans! Also, his smirks. These are all good things.

Some vague prompts:
-Kim Yohan playing Chihoon and Mooyul against each other. Maybe some dub-con along these lines? Or just Kim Yohan putting the two in a situation where they'd be at odds--e.g. manipulating Chihoon into making a choice that makes him seem heartless, or making Mooyul feel inferior to him in that way that activates his jealousy thing.
-Mooyul being protective of Chihoon, or Chihoon being protective of Mooyul. Or the two taking care of each other in some way. (This can range from studying together to sick fic to "I need your help hiding a body" lols.)
-Mooyul's mixed feelings for Chihoon not being solely rivalry but also angsty pining that eventually erupts into him frustratedly grabbing Chihoon and making out with him! Possibly this somehow occurs instead of the fight on the snowy cliff? Or maybe after Mooyul discovers that Chihoon isn't fucking dead.
-Chihoon realizes that people touching Mooyul makes him calm down, and so starts touching him when he gets angry or scared or sad. This slowly escalates; he also eventually realizes that actually, most people touching Mooyul does not calm him down, and it might just be that Mooyul likes him.

Jo Youngjae/Park Mooyul:
Youngjae's feelings towards Mooyul seem kind of mixed in the show--he listens to Mooyul's plans and seems to respect him, but Mooyul is also the first person he names when he's telling the doctor how everyone acts like they're better than him. It's also really interesting to track Mooyul and Youngjae's interactions in relation to violence. In the first three episodes, Mooyul is constantly stopping Youngjae's fights. He stops Youngjae from beating Kangmo up, pulls Youngjae off Yoonsu at one point, and even rescues Youngjae from Kang Mireu's righteous wrath. But in the second half of the show, it's quite the opposite: Mooyul seems to be the one who thought of confronting Kangmo with sticks (though it's unclear), and barely holds Youngjae back during that pursuit, and eventually Mooyul and Chihoon are the ones who incite the group to murder Kim Yohan. Mooyul goes from holding Youngjae back to pushing him forward. I find both dynamics interesting, and they make me wonder how Mooyul might have related to Youngjae in the past, and how he might relate to him in the future.
But also, Youngjae is a very sad boy and Mooyul is kind of a reassuring person, so maybe h/c? Hm.

Some vague prompty things:
-Hurt/comfort: Youngjae gets hurt and future-doctor!Mooyul helps him. Youngjae talks to Mooyul about his insecurities, how he thinks he's the worst, and Mooyul may or may not be reassuring. Mooyul gets hurt or in danger and Youngjae finds the strength to help him. Post-canon recovery fics.
-Youngjae says to Eunsung at one point, "I hated you for dating Mooyul; I hated you for breaking up with him." Uh, there's definitely more than one way to interpret that statement! Maybe some Youngjae pining for Mooyul (possibly pre-canon) and thinking he's out of his reach bc he's dating Eunsung? Then seeing how he's hurt when Eunsung breaks up with him? Or... something along those lines?
-We don't see whether Mooyul ever found out Youngjae almost got Kim Yohan to kill Eunsung. How would he react if he did find that out? Would he feel betrayed? What if Youngjae tells him he wanted Eunsung dead bc then maybe Mooyul would like him? What if Mooyul erupts into sexy rage? Basically any way this scene would go would be interesting to me.
-Youngjae just forcing Mooyul to make out with him bc he's in delinquent mode, he likes Mooyul, and he kind of wants Mooyul to hate him.
-Post-canon, if these two associated, would they discourage or encourage each other's violent impulses? What would the others think of their relationship?

Art ideas for both:
-White Christmas is a very stark show visually. Snow, dark clothes, and all those huge windows and winding staircases. If you can pull in any of that aesthetic in any way, I'll be happy to see it.
-These boys are so troubled and if you want to draw them just snuggling or being happy together or having a snowball fight, I'm up for it.
-But also. LET THEM FIGHT AND STRANGLE EACH OTHER AND PUNCH EACH OTHER. the duality of man.

That's all I've got tonight. Looking forward to seeing what you make :D
